1. The Island of Tabarca

Less than an hour and a half off the coast from Benidorm is the island of Tabarca. Once a refuge for Berber pirates, today you can wander through the town centre, visit its historic walls, or sample the best fresh fish from the restaurants lining its picturesque marina. 2. Calp – Baños de la Reina (The Queen’s Baths)

They may look like small swimming pools, but in fact this is a Roman site made up of six basins that were originally used for breeding fish. It was also a place to come and enjoy the area’s natural beauty. Its calm, crystal clear waters are ideal for a relaxing swim where you’ll discover the famous marine environments in the waters surrounding the Natural Park of Penyal d’Ifac. 3. Moraig Cove and the Cave of Arches

Hidden away just beside Moraig Cove, in the town of Benitatxell, is one of the jewels of the Costa Blanca, the Cave of Arches. It is a natural marine cave formed of three huge arches. Inside, you’ll find an immense pool of the most stunning turquoise water. The view is even more spectacular when sunlight shines through the hole in its dome, reflecting and sparkling in the water. The cave is also the mouth of an underground river, and the opening at the end of a plethora of underground passages still to be explored.

4. Snorkel at Tio Ximo Cove

If you’re into watersports, snorkeling is the perfect activity for your summer vacation. There is no better place to go than Ti Ximo Cove. This small inlet is still a secret to many, making it the best place to find peace and quiet for calm day at the beach. This little treasure is in Benidorm, but away from the din of the city and the thousands of tourists that descend on it each year. 5. The Algar Waterfalls

6. The Enchanted Ravine or the Clear Gorge

In the small town of Planes, located in the northern region of the province of Alicante, you’ll find the Enchanted Ravine. Legends hold that beneath its waters, the Moors hid their treasures and cast a spell on the ravine so that the natural landscape would protect it. Ironically, the real treasure is the natural beauty encircling the gorge. Head here for an unforgettable swim, surrounded by mountains, forest, and lush vegetation. Who knows? 7. The Guadalest Basin

This is the emerald jewel of Valencia. The color of its waters, and the surrounding rocky landscape seduces and hypnotizes everyone who visits here.
